Dairy Crest is the UK's leading chilled dairy foods company. Our strategy is to build leadership positions in branded and added-value markets across the dairy sector and to invest in industry leading facilities to create competitive advantage. Our aim is to deliver excellent value to all of our stakeholders - our shareholders, our customers, our suppliers and our employees.

We operate in two divisions.

Many of our brands are number one in their sectors:

  • Clover is number one in the dairy spreads sector
  • Cathedral City is number one in the branded cheddar sector
  • Frijj is number one in the fresh flavoured milk drinks sector
  • Petits Filous, a Yoplait brand, is number one in the children's chilled yogurts and desserts sector

St Hubert Omega 3 is the number one brand variant in the French spreads market. Valle is the number one brand in the Italian spreads market.

We are continually strengthening and developing our portfolio of brands and added value products, which also includes Utterly Butterly, Country Life, Davidstow, as well as the Yoplait brands Frubes and Yop. We supply all the leading supermarkets with a range of retailer own brand dairy products, including fresh milk and premium cheddar.

We benefit from being the UK's most broadly based dairy business. Our mixture of businesses and markets enables us to use the milk we buy in the most efficient way. Similarly, we are able to use the strong cashflows generated from some of our businesses, such as household, to invest in growing our branded and added value products, as well as developing a strong retailer own brand offering.

We also focus on efficient production and distribution. We have invested in our production facilities to reduce our costs and make the most efficient use of resources. For instance we have invested significantly at our Davidstow creamery - the home of our Cathedral City and Davidstow brands - to support their growth.
